A325 Structural Bolts

ASTM F3125 was created in 2016 bringing the A325 and A490 specification under one umbrella. F3125 covers 1/2-1 1/2 diameter bolts in the A325, A325M, A490, A490M, F1852 and F2290 standards. The most common structural standards are A325 and A490, and both are available as a hex head or TC (tension control) style bolt. A325 parts are available in Type 1 and Type 3. Type 1 bolts are available as plain steel, mechanical galvanized or  hot dip galvanized. Type 3 parts are comprised of weathering steel that self protects, and these do not require additional surface protection.
